The Tech Shock podcast – the emerging gender divide

“There are multiple factors at play. It’s not individual men – or women – that are to blame for inequality in the world.” 

Research from February 2024 suggests that men are twice as likely as women to believe that gender equality has “gone too far”. 

With ‘incel culture’ on the rise, and young people being exposed to misogyny online, the topic of gender is becoming increasingly polarised.

This week, Vicki is joined by Rosie Campbell, professor of politics and director of the Global Institute for Women's Leadership at King's College London, to discuss the gender divide, what it means in the digital age and its effect on political participation.
